"[Jessica's] work realizes register experimentation, lots of harmonic tension, exciting melodic creativity, powerful uses of tutti unison and more.  To me, Jessica's work is full of interest and originality.”

Alastair Willis, Music Director, South Bend Symphony Orchestra

"Jessica's wonderful piece Forgotten Royalty, is intense, thoughtful, and wrenchingly poignant! Through music, the piece tells a story that's both specific and universal, both historic and immensely relevant today. This emotional landscape is finely crafted with an attention to detail, and is greatly appreciated by performers and listeners alike. Jessica was unfailingly professional throughout the entire commissioning process. I enthusiastically recommend her emerging and important artistic voice to everyone."

Tom Clowes, Executive Director, Crossing Borders Music

"With one glance at the score of her Cello Concerto, Rancor and Triumph, it was clear to me that Jessica has an intuitive command of the properties and powers of the symphony orchestra. Jessica's sense of color, voicing, gesture, dramatic structure, and individual style are imbued with a universal appeal, beckoning both musicians and listeners into a sound world that becomes their own.  Jessica's music flies off the page with clarity and conviction."

Robert Boardman, Music Director, South Bend Youth Symphony Orchestra

"Ashes to Poinsettas was a wonderful piece; evocative, nicely written for the instruments and structured in a way that was both original and intuitive.  It was a joy to conduct and to play, and the response from the musicians and audience tell us that it is work that should be given many more performances"

Warren Cohen, Conductor, MusicaNova Orchestra
